FAQ
Common questions
What categories work best?
BriefScore works for any product category where real companies have launched and either succeeded or failed — consumer apps, SaaS, food & drink, fintech, health tech, hardware, and more. The pipeline adapts its rules to your specific category.
Can I submit multiple ideas?
Yes. Each report is a separate purchase. If you're comparing two approaches to the same market, you'll get two independent evaluations with the same underlying rules — making it easy to compare.
What if my idea is too niche?
The pipeline researches the closest relevant category. Even for niche ideas, there are usually 30+ products that attempted something similar. If we genuinely can't find enough data, we'll let you know and issue a refund.
How do you define success and failure?
We use publicly verifiable signals: products that are still operating, achieved significant revenue or user growth, or were acquired count as successes. Products that shut down, pivoted away, or failed to gain traction count as failures.
Is the report AI-generated?
Yes — and that's the point. Our multi-agent pipeline uses AI to research 30 real products, derive rules, and evaluate your idea. But unlike a simple ChatGPT prompt, every claim names a real company, and the methodology is validated on held-out data.
What's your refund policy?
If your report fails to generate or is materially defective, you get a full refund. If you're unhappy with quality, contact us within 14 days and we'll review your case. See our Terms of Service for full details.
